Greek heroes, the Argonauts were Jason’s companions on his quest for the Golden Fleece.
Named after the Argos, the ship blessed by the gods, the Argonauts were the heroes who accompanied Jason on his quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece in Colchis. Most of them were heroes who had already accomplished great deeds, but some only became famous after this adventure.
