Communiqué officiel :
Adventure is a dish best served cold and, beginning today, Dungeons & Dragons brings a bone-chilling one with the release of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden.
Fans from all over the world can get a first-look and playthrough the new icy adventure at D&D Celebration, a virtual event that kicks-off this Friday and runs through the weekend (Sept. 18-20). Join us to roll some dice and slay a frost giant – or two!
As you prepare to feel the cold touch of death, I wanted to provide some resources that you might find helpful and/or interesting for any articles that you are working on related to the release:
Check out the exciting jam-packed event schedule for the virtual event here.
Oxventure – Oxventure is a chaotic UK-based D&D crew, formed of Andy Farrant, Ellen Rose, Jane Douglas, Luke Westaway and Mike Channell, seeking adventure and atonement under the auspices of dungeon master Johnny ‘Literally Everyone in the World’ Chiodini. Born in 2017 as a spin-off of YouTube gaming channels Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra, Oxventure took on a destructive life of its own for which Johnny, video boss of tabletop gaming site Dicebreaker, will surely be held responsible.
High Rollers – One of the biggest D&D streams outside of the U.S., HighRollers is made up of Dungeon Master, Mark « Sherlock » Hulmes and his friends Chris Trott, Kim Richards, Katie Morrison, Tom Hazell, and Rhiannon Gower. They’ve been featured at D&D Live, London Comic Con, PAX East, and many other events and streams over the years, but always bring a fun, down-to-earth and sincere vibe to the gaming table.
How We Roll – How We Roll is one of Europe’s most popular D&D podcasts specializing in humor, tension, and horror. They have been featured as part of D&D Live, Podcasts into Avernus, and Podcon 2019. DM Joe is joined by players, Eoghan, Niall, Kuran, and a different special guest each week (for this episode: Viriginia Page), with production from Aram Vartian as they play through Rime of the Frostmaiden! Following the premiere episode at D&D Celebration, look out for their continuing campaign every Sunday live on twitch.tv/dnd.
Saturday’s first Feature Game includes mostly UK talent, with DM Chris Hislop and 3 players (Kim Richards, Anjuli Smith, Aoife Wilson) from the UK, alongside US players TK Johnson and Brandy Camel (D&D Community Manager). Each of their bios can be found under the individuals section HERE.
